![]() Now, for one technical thing that I loved about AoW3: the lack of a lengthy loading screen between strategical map and tactical battles. That's something completely new in a 4X game for me, and it made me want to play EL at least once with each faction, just to see all faction quests. Those are quests that are actually interesting! They have actually well-written text, with plots that make you want to keep pursuing the quest just to see what happens next. Quite a few other 4X games tried including quests both before and after EL, but none did it right like it did. The leaders have zero personalty by design, so it loses heavily on flavor the victory conditions are rather dull, and everything is way too much focused on the single goal of warfare and nothing else.īut above all else, the one thing that Endless Legend brings to the table, for me, is the excellent Faction Quests. My issue with AoW is a lack of "motivation". As someone that prefers Endless Legend over Age of Wonders III:
